Why is Eve Marie Little running for Newark City Council?
Quite frankly, she is running because she has gotten fed up with the increase in theft and crime in Newark, especially her own neighborhood. About a year ago, someone attempted to break into the shed of Newark Boy Scout Troop 186 on two separate occasions, causing over $1,000 worth of damage. A couple of months ago, the Boy Scout trailer was also stolen and later found damaged and abandoned which resulted in over $1,200 in towing and storage fees. The final straw was when Eve Marie Little found out that her cycling friend had her bike stolen right in front of her house! Eve was furious she lost her biking buddy and is sick and tired of some people's selfishness and lack of respect for others, so she decided to step up and do something about it.
Eve never thought she would get involved in politics, and honestly, never wanted to, but she is choosing to run to put focus on the needs in our own personal community. Her main goal is to hear what the Newark citizens want in our small town and be able to represent and fight for them at the council level. She wants to bring her raw energy and drive to get things done with the Newark City Council this November.
Check out the rest of her website including the main issues she wants to focus on as well as how to reach out to her and let her know what YOUR concerns, suggestions and ideas are for our great city of Newark!
