These are the issues that Eve Marie Little wants to focus on for our Newark community
- Public Safety and Crime Concerns - We need to be able to help the police force with whatever is needed to help protect our citizens and our property. How did decreasing the police presence help San Francisco, right? Let's support our police department and other emergency responders!
- More Affordable Recreational Activities for the Newark Kids and Teenagers - Let's get the kids out of the house and doing outdoor activities and connecting with neighborhood friends. Put down the electronics and pick up a ball and go play! As a college professor in recreation, I believe this is super important for us and our future generations!
- Bringing in more businesses to Newark - If we want to increase our budget, we have to increase our city's income. We need to reach out to more businesses and make our city a welcoming place for new business owners. It's a pity that we have to travel outside our city for many of our needs when it would be best if we kept our money in Newark. How about using the vacant areas in our town? $5,000 dollars in rent is better than $0 for several months, right? These are just all ideas, but there is definitely more we can do to get this moving and shaking.
Last but not least, I want to hear from YOU, Newark citizens! What are some issues you see? What are some proposed solutions? What can we do to better our city? Email me at [email protected] and let me know what your issues/solutions/ideas are!
I have had five cups of coffee so far and it's only 8am so I am READY TO GO!
